Fulham FC: A Draw Is Better Than A Loss…
Today was another “must win” situation for Fulham and again, we walk away from the dinner table feeling only half full. Thanks to my boy Clint Dempsey’s goal in like the 78th minute or so, the Cottagers were able to pull out a 1-1 draw with Wigan.
There is a positive to take away from today’s match and that is the fact that the boys played with a lot of passion, something they have lacked of late. On a blog comment I made on one of the Fulham blogs yesterday (sorry, can’t remember which one), I stated that firing Sanchez may give the players enough of a kick in the ass for them to come out with some fire in their guts. I believe it worked.
Fulham returns to the pitch on “Boxing Day”, which for you fellow yanks is the day after Christmas. They take on Spurs and the match can be seen LIVE on Setanta Xtra here in the U.S. with a 7:55am kick off. If you can’t wake your lazy ass up that early, Setanta Sports will re-broadcast the game later in the day.
