FA Cup: Hoping For A Miracle

havant_waterlooville.jpgSince Fulham are off today and Setanta Sports isn’t broadcasting the Wasps vs Gloucester rugby match in the U.S. (I mean c’mon, not even on delay?), I’m following the FA Cup.

On the TV I have the Middlesbrough vs Mansfield Town match on. Not sure why I have it on, perhaps for background noise, because that match is being shown on delay here in the states and I already know who won (I won’t spoil it for those who may not know the result). However my main focus has been on the Liverpool vs Havant & Waterlooville match. Following it on a “match cast” isn’t the most exciting thing in the world but it’s better than nothing.

At the half, the match is tied 2-2. Very exciting stuff. Havant & Waterlooville got a goal in the 8th minute. Liverpool then tied it up in the 27th, H&W took the lead back in the 31st and right at the half, Benayoun evened things up again.

I doubt H&W will be able to hold on for a draw, but wouldn’t it be exciting if they could at least force a replay?

Another “upset” of note, Preston North End is spanking Derby County 3-0 at the half.

I’ll have results up in a couple of hours.
